Hey, kiddo, let me pass along something a friend had me do:

Write on a piece of paper, five times, neatly, "I will get this job." Keep it in your pocket while you're interviewing.

Worked great for me.

Interview went okay. I got EMOTIONAL during it which was ridiculous and embarassing but ultimately I think I did alright. They interviewed me for a telemetry/open heart step down externship this summer. I didn't know what position I was interviewing for until I got there (odd, I know). It wasn't my #1 choice but it's something I know I can learn from, so if they accept me I'll take the position. Here's to hopin'!

Dude, nothing wrong with getting EMOTIONAL in an interview. If they wanted a machine they wouldn't be hiring a human.

After my last interview, I was feeling so cheerful and giddy that I did a pirouette on my way out, waving and gibbering at my prospective boss. They hired me anyway.

Aww, thanks tang! She just asked what I felt had the potential to be an emotionally loaded question (What was the hardest decision you've ever had to make?), and I let it go! Wooo. She was very polite about it, though. Now I wait and see!
