The Canandians get all the good kitsch. I've always been a fan of cheesy movies. So Grindhouse was a heck of a lot of fun for me. But then I saw a friend's Canadian satellite feed, and he gets a channel called Drive-In Classics, or something to that effect. An uncut and unadulterated mass of kung-fu and exploitation. I'm jealous.
And I should have used a More Inside. Sorry about that.

I thought the length was fine on the front page....

But yeah, wouldn't it be great if one could tailor TV-acces? I want Channel 4 (UK) and a whole bunch of weird spinoffs that I've seen which were a bit like what you describe (yes channel 4 is shit but they GET ALL THE GOOD ADS and I'm sick that way). I've been thumbing through all the "tailor digital packages" here that brag you can get anything you want - as long as it isn't what I want, clearly. I don't need the UK adult channel (wtf?) and countless sports and crud for 189 SEK a month just to be able to see BBC. Can we get some really tailored packages where I can pick the ones I want, pleeez?

There's been talk of tailored packages in the US, I believe, though I think the cable companies are dead against it and would probably have to be forced by law to do it.

Yeah, the cable companies do NOT want ala carte pricing. They love their packages, and think you should too. And they wonder why people pirate the service.

I just noticed the typo in the title. I do actually know how to spell Canadians. I must have been channeling Dubya, or maybe Dan Quayle. This is what I get for staying up reading most of the night and sleeping very little.

Aw, man, a Drive-in Channel would be great!

hell if they had a la cart I would actually consider cable. It'd be an amazing process of "free market" in action, with the result of killing off many craptacular channels.
It's the way everything is going, niche marketing.
