Dunno if y'all across the ditch say this, but in the South, we have a saying: "What goes around, comes around." Or, more succinctly (first heard in the context of Carolina/Clemson annual football showdowns): "Payback is hell, ain't it, boy?"

He does sound like a complete c**t. I can't say that I'm particularly upset, but however scummy he was, this arsewipe was still a human being, potentially capable of repentance. I hope I speak for all of us when I say that being gleeful potentially compromises us as caring human beings.

It is a shame that he can no longer be held to account for his actions.

After hearing a comeuppance-themed there-I-wuz story from one of my instructors, I quoted Lao-tzu to him: "If you wait long enough by the bank of a river, the bodies of all your enemies will float by." He wisely pointed out, "Yeah, but it's not much fun watch them bobbing gently in the current, is it?"

Wow. It does make you wonder about fate a bit, doesn't it? Of course, with his driving history, it probably was just a matter of time. I'm just glad he didn't take anyone with him.
