In other news, a giant pink bunny on an Italian hillside is one of the most beloved things on the internets.

Here is a picture.

Well, you learn something new. I had never heard of this US usage (when I first saw this thread I assumed it was a mobile phone provider or something). Does coriander get used in the States too, or would I not be understood if I asked for it?

I love cilantro and can't find any in my part of Korea. Of course, I'm a sucker for Tex-Mex.

Breycap: In the US, cilantro generally = leaves, and coriander generally = seeds.

Coriander: OK. Cilantro: Ugh.

Surely Brussels sprouts are the most hated vegetable in the history of telegraphy?

greycap - cilantro (coriander leaves, heh) are used a lot in Mexican food, especially salsa.

I guess I'm one of the lucky few that are neutral on the subject/taste of cilantro.

Well I know what they are used in - it's just I'd never heard the word (unlike zucchini/courgette, eggplant/aubergine etc). Incidentally my girlfriend can't stand the taste of the leaves - a shame since I cook Indian food a fair bit and miss not using it.

I find the leaves taste like soap and I can only tolerate the tiniest amounts of it in things.
