Anyone else on Kiva.org? I made my first loan today.
This is so cool. If only i wasn't closer to the other end of the donating spectrum.
i wish there was something like this for US or regionally, for artists or local small business owners, etc.

That is cool. BTW, the link to your blog is broken from that site. It gives "http" twice so it won't load.

Thanks for the heads up. How annoying.

Now it works. But of course I can't read your blog for the next few months in case you talk about American Idol and give away the result of the vote before I get to see it on Friday nights!

I make you a promise right now, I will not spoil American Idol on my blog, other than maybe to mention that I love voting for Sanjaya. I will probably talk about it on my podcast, though, so you'll probably want to steer clear.

This is a great site, TPS. I'd like to help, but I can't afford $1200.00. Does one loaner pony up the whole amount, or can several people chip in? Of course, this only makes my crush on you a whole lot worse. ;^) You are the best!

You chip in increments of $25. I think I'm gonna do $25 a month (I know I spend more than $25 a month on stupid crap). And since it's a loan, someday I'll get (some to all) of the money back!

Oh, great! Thanks for the info!

Cool, I'd heard about them on the radio but had never taken the time to lookup the website. I'm are definitely going to do this now.

Check out Prosper: some of the borrowers are just broke, but some are looking for startup loans for small businesses, etc.
