Give me dog trick ideas. [More:]My dog can do these tricks: shake, high five, down, roll over, leave it/take it, sit, and we've just started working on hide (she hides her eyes - she seems to be picking this one up pretty quickly.) We are also working on bang, you're dead.

What other tricks should I teach the little genius? She's super food motivated so as long as there's a treat around and she knows it will be making its way into her tummy then she'll try to learn the trick.
I forgot to mention. She also knows how to go to her bed. So it seems like I could get her to go places and do things. Keep in mind that she is short and weighs 14lbs so she cannot be taught to go to the fridge for me.

Can she jump? My childhood best friend's terrier used to jump three or four feet straight up in the air. (Not through training, just for fun.) It was super cute.

She's a super good jumper considering how short-legged she is. Yes. I've put up obstacle courses for her before. To watch her jump. Because I'm like that. It's not that the dog needs to know tricks, really. It's that I need something to do with my time, obviously.

Teach her at least the basic obedience commands, including "down" (or "stop" or "platz") for her own safety, "heel" for walking, "come" and "stay."

After that, even if she can't go to the fridge for you, teach her to fetch, for exercise.

An old friend of mine had a mix (probably part Dobie) who would bare her teeth on command ("Grin!"). Don't recall how she got her to do it, but because there was no growling involved, it wasn't at all scary.

Teach her how to play poker.

That there's a waste of Alpo.

Could you get her to sit up, balancing on her hind legs? My BF's sister's dog does that - then they point their finger at her like a gun and shout BANG! She falls over and plays dead.

Or could you get her to stand on her hind legs and turn around? Like dancing? My dog used to do that.

A big hit in our house is "find it." We make her sit and stay in one room, and then we sneak into another room and hide a toy or a bone. Then we tell her to find it and she does this frantic, excited search of the house and wags her tail up to takeoff speed when she actually finds whatever it is she's looking for.

Also working on "pick up your toys," but that'll be a few months in the making.
