Daughter just called from SF She has been walking all over, and→[More:]I pulled up Google Maps and guided her about a half mile to the door of City Lights Bookstore.

It felt cool to do that. She's having a great time on her own today and will get back across the bay tonight and then back to the City tomorrow, prolly. Sounds like she's having the time of her life, but then in her 17 years, there's been lots of cool adventures, of which I am proud (as much as she bitches about her parents).

That's fabulous-even though it's scary sometimes to let them fly on their own, it's amazing when you see them as adults and not small children anymore. She's lucky she has some wonderful parents.

How very cool. I used to do that for a friend of mine when he got lost driving, and it was often a bit harrowing.

I'm glad she's having a good time!

Haha that sounds like something I'd ask my mom to do for me. I get lost so often.

Good on you for being such a cool parent.
