The 2007 Equality Ride for GLBT students is making a stop at my old college in April. For the first time since I left, I wish I was there, just to be a part of the madness that will most likely ensue.
Huh, here's an article about a professor I took a class with at NYU. Anytime the topic is gay children, she's the expert quoted in the media. Definitely the most "famous" professor I ever studied with. She's a very sharp lady.
I know this is more than Politically Incorrect, this is deeply wrong on a number of levels, but "Gay Children" made me think of those "Slow Children" signs, and when an image Google brought up a sign with a rather odd-looking figure on it... I COULDN'T RESIST. This is why I aquired the entire "Roadgeek" collection of roadsign fonts...
Professor I e-mailed said the response on campus has been "General sense of welcoming, actually. I've been pretty pleased. Will get a better pulse in the next week or so as prelim meetings are taking place."
