GREAT THINGS POST! Please tell me about three great things happening in your life!→[More:] READYSETGO!
1. The weather is getting nicer here! It makes me so happy!
2. I got to hang out with an old friend all weekend, and it was lots of fun.
3. I have one of the best dudes ever.
1. It was a nice day with enough clouds making it not too bright, so I read out on the back porch all afternoon!
2. I have the cutest puppy ever!
3. I get to eat cakes and good food for free, just for being engaged!
1. I can sleep with my window open!
2. My friends are awesome! They always come through. Every last one of 'em. Even though I don't always deserve it. Love, love.
3. I don't have a lot of Events that are great right now, but everything feels so full of promise right now, and I am feeling so good, and I think that is amazing.
1. The cherry blossoms are about to bloom.
2. There is almost zero chance of me being mugged or maced in Kyoto.
3. My son will start kindergarten in a few weeks, so I'll get a few hours of peace in which to get some work done in my home office.
Threegreat things? That's kind of tough. Let's see...
Big #1: I am finally noticeably recovering from the outbreak of lung mold or whatever that has kept me mostly inactive since before Christmas. (Now I get to start working on all the things I've put off for three months. YIPES!)
#2: I have not been a crime victim lately - knock wood. (And if all you MeChans want to come out to my crime-free area, maybe you can all share a room at the Madonna Inn :))
1. I figured out my year-end-project research topic!
2. I got accepted to University choices 2-4! (waiting for 1 and 5)
3. Me and the boy resolved our issues and we're going on an actual date this weekend! (Stupid school)
1. Tomorrow I'm flying to Sacramento to attend the Pseudosecular Volunteer Corps Leader Training.
2. If recruitment goes well, soon I will have up to eight Pseudosecular Volunteers under my guidance. Mowahahaha.
3. This afternoon my SO and I made with the love then went for a walk and played with lots of kitties on the way.
1. We have a moving date! We should be in our place in Athens next Sunday omg!
2. Making Fusilli with collards, bacon, and garlic right now. (Recipe here.) I hope it's yummy. But I don't know how close the greens I have for this are to collards.
3. I bought a great silk and cotton quilt on sale. My bed is now fanc-ay.
Saw some very beautiful ladies while I was waiting for my interview in the reception area.
Aced the interview and the apptitude test.
Will be going to see my sweetie pie Kate Winslet in The Holiday this evening.
1. The next step in my application for Social Security Disability is the appeal before a judge. I chose to use a lawyer who specialized in this area rather than use the representative supplied by my disability insurance company.
2. I am looking for a new place to live. I found some nice no-lease apartments that are only a block away from the strip, about 50 yards with only a Carl's Junior between them and Las Vegas Boulevard. I hope to go check them out today.
3. With the death of my mother, my family is easing into its next generation with grace. My brothers and sister are now all within a couple years of being grandparents, and my own son who is now 14 has found a great family with whom to live as he attends a private high school. His mother has generously allowed me to send his support check directly to him.
I spent the weekend with a smile on my face, and it seems to have become a chronic condition.
I was late to work this morning, but there's nothing for me to do yet and my bosses have been talking since I got here about a baptism they attended over the weekend.
My guitar's been stringless for a week or so because I didn't manage my supply chain well this time around, but I'll be getting new ones today in the mail (from Snake Oil Brand Strings).
For Your Added Enjoyment, have a look at some beautiful Girls. [NOT SEXIST]
On reflection, "generously" in the sense that just about everybody who still talks to her threatened to beat her ass if she didn't agree to it. heheh. OK, back to everybody else...
1. I had a lovely lovely dinner last night with one of my closest friends who I never get to see because he lives across the country, but he somehow managed a three-and-a-half-hour layover so we got to have a wonderful dinner.
2. My new job is still going really well, and it's still fun to wake up early in the morning and put on big-girl clothes and traipse downtown, where I click around in my high heels.
3. The new apartment is definitely starting to feel like home. Still stuff to unpack, still all the artwork to put up, still feel like I can't always find things that i need, but... home.
1. Sex is a Good Thing! I am Pro-Lust!
2. All my summer clothes either fit or are too big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. It looks like my office may finally get fixed and painted!
Also, I ran into a friend when I stepped out to get coffee, and I ran into a student who thanked me for putting his picture on the Internet. It is a picture of him asleep on a couch during Finals Week. I thought it would offend him, but it pleases him. He's so sweet! Another friend called to see if we could eat lunch together. Hooray for friends indeed!
1. My blog-a-thon went smoothly!
2. I'm making my first comic book! It's collages made from pre-1927 advertising.
3. We're moving into a bigger apartment in May, and then getting married!
1. I spent all weekend with friends from out-of-town, and it was super fun (bars! The Alamo! A brewery tour! lots of Barbeque! Karaoke!), but exhausting.
2. We've started telling people we're engaged, and only one friend has freaked out! ("OMG, do I need to propose to my girlfriend now?" "Ummm...no?")
1. My daughter is finally starting to walk (at 4)
2. She (still) loves her baby brother
3. It's maple syrup season and nearly time to plant sweet peas.
1. The bf and I are talking about moving in together and...beyond! Woo!
2. My freelance project is still driving me up a fucking wall, but at least I'm finally getting paid a big chunk o' cash, after which I will be able to pay off my car and the last of my student loans!
3. I'm having a great hair day!
2. We spent a lot of time in the yard yesterday and pruned everything that still needed it. Only the fruit trees still need pruning, but they might not get it this year.
3. The lovely weather is supposed to last all week!
1. My new place in Silverlake is the coolest ever.
2. I bought a purple velvet blazer off ebay and it should be here tomorrow.
3. I am finally on the home stretch of the 3rd draft of this damn screenplay I've been working on since late 2005.
1. My stepdaughter came up to me for no reason and gave me a hug. (for those that don't know, she's 17 and all the things teenagers are)
2. My father-in-law isn't doing too badly, all things considered.
3. I'm just feeling happy!
