(rant) I hate the TSA. →[More:]They took my airport badge! It was a beautiful sunny day and I tried to go flying and they took my damn badge because I didn't give them yet another form of identification almost a year after they decided I wasn't terroristy enough to deny access to the airport. Bastards. You do not need my passport again, or my birth certificate, or anything else! I gave it all to you already!

Reminds me of the time I was in Atlantic City, played craps without incident but needed six forms of ID to get a drink.

Well, gee, occhi, they pretty much asked for it. This post and the one on frozen dinners are two perfect examples of why the underprivileged of the world point at us and wonder why we cannot be satisfied with the luxuries we do have (the luxury of choice in the case of the frozen versus fresh food).

Coffee? Would that be Starbucks or a custom blend? heheh ;-P

Yeah, but slagging on other users is not really why I come to MeCha. It's actually upsetting to see it here. Arguments/discussions are one thing, getting all "stfu noob, what the hell's your problem" is weird. And multiple people doing it this morning is doubly weird. Perhaps even triply or quadrupally or googleplexly weird. I have not yet properly computed the extent of the weird.

And my coffee is my locally roasted, fair trade, bike courier-delivered Oaxaca blend, thank you very much. Also possibly organic, I can't remember. Made with filtered tap water. You may now proceed to call me an overprivileged coffee snob. :)

Weirdly, Firefox spellcheck does not have "overprivileged" in it. Only "underprivileged." I think we should take this as a sign, and sing a nice round of "kumbaya."

Also, hi! to backseatpilot, and I'm sorry you couldn't fly today. I wanted to take my overprivileged self out for a hike under beautiful blue skies, but the skies suddenly got all cloudy. [NOT A METAPHOR]

So now I'm drinking coffee and watching the fog, which is also nice.

backseatpilot, I wish I was out flying today. Nice weather, clear air, and just a few clouds to make it pretty. Still, as for the TSA thing you can't win. Even when you're right you're going to be wrong.
