Heard an incredibly good cover today, but ... I can't figure out who is singing.[More:]

The song is "Can't Find My Way Home" (originally by Blind Faith, written by Steve Winwood, done famously by Eric Clapton, recently by Sneaker Pimps & Alana Davis). The cover I heard was by a female, not quite a soprano. Dark in tone. Atmospheric. It could very well be Yvonne Elliman, the 2nd version of her version, but I don't think it was.

It was playing on WRAS-Atlanta, Album 88.

So ... anyone else aware of a recent cover of such a damned fine song?
just the lady and an acoustic guitar? may have been Marie Taziki, 2004-ish

it's the old version (1989ish) by the swans?

produced by bill laswell, and apparently disliked by the band.

I never realized that Swans song was a cover...

If that's the version grabbingsand heard, we have an Atlanta riff going here, since Tina Jarboe of the Swans is an Atlanta girl. (Still lives here, I think.)

Makes sense since 88 has always pushed local music, even older stuff.

That's the one I heard. The Swans. Thanks, all.
