Rabbits are one of the few animals that we keep as pets that we also use for food, clothing and lab experiments. They're the third most abundant animals in most shelters after dogs and cats. Although they can be spayed and neutered like any other pet, people haven't caught on to that yet. Things are getting better, but progress is slow. But every little bit helps.
