Jesus Christ that's fucked up. I'm glad my cats are spoiled and insist on the high end food. But damn. They should make the people at Menu Foods eat the food.

Thanks for the post, arse_hat!

My beasties get Nutro Natural Choice stuff which is on the list (and is a higher-end food, or so I've been led to believe). However, all the specific stuff we have is not on the list.

It does, however, surprise me that Nutro subcontracts some of it's food production. I'm not sure if we'll continue feeding the beasties Nutro because that really bothers me.

What other brand options do I have, O Wise Bunnies?

deborah, we moved our cats to Proformtrin a couple of months ago. It's been great. Both cats have lost some flab and gained some muscle. Also with the better protean sources, poop volume is about half what it used to be. It is only available in a limited area however.
