Bad news, good news Bad news: I just found out my son won't get to come home on leave this summer which means he won't get to see his sister and nephew again before they leave to follow her husband to wherever the Navy sends him...→[More:]

Good news: ...because he has been scheduled to learn to fly small engine planes this summer! Which means he most likely gets to fly something besides a desk when he graduates next year!

(He also gets to go to Boston's JFK library for some research fellowship thingy and between the two, no room for leave.)

Stinks for me, but he's gonna have an incredible summer.

I was all set to give you tons of whuffles, but now I am stricken with jealousy! I want to learn to fly a plane!
If I had to join a branch of the military, it would be the Navy. It seems... I don't know. Safer? More interesting? Planetastic!?

Sounds like he's going to have quite the summer. :) I'd say "have him take pictures" but I'm not sure if he'd even be able to. My gut tells me he wouldn't.

Good news: It's a beautiful day.

Bad News: I can't find Regular Lovers anywhere. I also can't find The Girl on the Bridge. Netflix has it, but we use Blockbuster.com service and they don't carry it. The husbandperson was tired of waiting for Netflix movies to arrive. He says they stall. I didn't notice.
