Good deals for the artistically inclined. Amazon currently is offering fairly a fairly good USB condenser mic and a nice camera lens for 68% and 70% off, respectively (with some used slightly cheaper).→[More:]

I haven't tried either, but I know questions regarding computer recording/photography occur somewhat regularly on AskMe, so I hoped someone would find these useful.

Huh. Anybody got direct experience with that mic? I've been thinking about picking up a USB condenser.

Just when I think I've put my talkradio days far far behind me (like 1978), I look at that mic and think "with Al Franken gone, there is a void in marginally-funny liberal talkjocks that I might just be able to fill", and have to hit myself on the head with my laptop.

Also, it looks (from a bit of googlery) like street on the mic is $80 or so. So it's a deal, but it's not a HOLY WOW deal.

Still...tempting.
