As I watch these, I'm mentally composing my own list, including:
-Jason's Furniture ads from the NJ/Philly region, 1980s
-"Dont you buy no ugly truck!" ads from Texarkana in the mid-80s.
-This ad that played in Northern NJ in the late 80s for a greek-style wedding palace. It featured the hosts parading about the elaborate halls and gesturing widely while saying things like "Graceful, elegant."
The whole Vern Fonk Insurance phenomenon, well known to Seattle-based TV watchers, is totally disturbing. His latest ad riffs off Napoleon Dynamite. Does anyone actually buy insurance from him? I guess the folks with the bumperstickers that say "HONK FOR FONK" do.
Vern Fonk is a God. Probably of Norse origin. I'm thinking the ancient God of ham and cheese. But, yeah - who in the Frozen Microwaveable Hell would ever buy insurance from Him?
