Scared, but safe. I cried when I saw this picture.

Nutty Old Catwomanhood comes even closer. Shoot me now.
oh baby kitty!!!! thanks Firewoman for saving her!

Fire-people just rock. Not only are firemen almost uniformly HAWT, and they have awesome fire trucks, but the FBU is a very left wing union! :) They give money to war-stoppage and everything.

Iconic cat rescue pic (and if this doesn't make you laugh, then Nutty Old Catwomanhood has arrived!)

What a great shot essexjan. I see a cat who got disturbed from a nap, but is relieved to be in good hands and is hanging on and giving a hug.

That Persian shot is fantastic.

When there was a fire in my buddy's building last summer, I phoned 911 and grabbed the cat and his girlfriend (luckily the cat carrier was right by the door so we could contain her quickly) while my buddy went down to the fourth floor, saved his neighbor and fought the fire until the fire department showed up.

When I grabbed Mina (the cat) she was running up to hide under the bed, where smoke might well have killed her. I thought she was gonna scratch the hell out of me, and I thought it was a fair trade (me getting scratched up in return for her being alive) but she sensed things were very wrong and held still, though she howled to beat the band.

I love that kitty.

Middle aged cat lady here, and proud of it.

I hearby dub this post the official NEDM page of MeCha.
Ah, stupid jokes that nobody above my age group will likely appreciate.

What a guy you are, Hugh! I'm sure you got a bit of good karma in return.

I'm beginning to think some of those cats might have started those fires.

Nutty Old Catwomen rock. They must, because I am one.

You're not allowed to apply for membership in NuttyOldCatWomanhood unless you're at least 50 years old and have more than two cats, or so I've been told.

Two? My rulebook says five.

Well, I guess I'm a Nutty Middle-aged Catwoman, 'cause I have ten years to go and have only two cats (looking to getting one more, possibly two, later this year).

I will long to be a Nutty Old Catwoman. I'm also 10 years from initiation, but I do have three cats. It's just that Mr. V is insisting on no more when they all cross the Rainbow Bridge. He can't handle the pain of losing them.

Those are all good, but I really love the dog picture. I'm gonna let Silver smooch me now...
