Glad you found a doctor you like, 'pode... if you should need anything, by all means, let us know. Your procedure's laproscopic, I presume? Recovery's not too bad.

I have an ovarian cyst, too, but so far luckily it doesn't have to come out, unless it causes me more pain than I can bear. Most of my pain disappeared a few months after my gall bladder surgery (at first, they weren't sure how much pain was the cyst and how much the gall bladder).

taz: it's a day surgery; I'm in in the morning, and out at night. Yeah pips, it's a laparoscopic thingy, unless something goes wrong of course and then they may have to actually open me up. *fingers crossed* It's kind of freaky signing the stuff that says you know they might have to take out the whole ovary when you were planning on trying to get pregnant in a few months. argh!

Yeah, I don't even have that much pain. But it's of a size that if it flips too much (torsion) it will cut off all the blood supply and then I definitely lose an ovary. Which is not good given like I said that we do want to concieve at a later date.

Now you know it's a teratoma and it has hair and teeth we insist - no, we DEMAND - you tell them you want to keep it and then make sure you post pictures of it here.

And we should be allowed to choose a name for it too.

Oh, and I know several women who have become pregnant - sometimes when they didn't particularly want to - on one ovary.

Would you dissect it yourself? Can we call it Gwin? Gonna go for a child of the golden pig?
