Hah! This happened to a friend of mine several years ago, when his kids (illegal) pet bunny got behind the desk with their PC on it and chewed all the cables into tiny pieces.
The only thing my dog has ever destroyed was the adapter for my mp3 player. I couldn't do anything but laugh because she did while I was in the room with her. She had a rawhide chewy and I could hear her chewing so I thought she was chewing the rawhide. The next thing I know she comes around and drops the adapter jack in my lap.
During "The Modem Years" I lost count of the number of times one of our rabbits chewed the phone cord. We eventually gave up trying to hide the cords and blocked access to the entire room.
