Captain America killed on courthouse steps! Sniff. Only the good die young.→[More:] There was a year or two though, '63 or '64 IIRC, where Captain America was way better than Superman.

Still, ANY established superhero taken out by a sniper's bullet just seems so... non-super.

what ish of what Civil War spinoff did Cap die in? i'll buy it. this is a potent and poignent statement.

i read the 7-part core Civil War series and was VERY impressed, but i'm not the type to be suckered into buying every tie-in issue in a comics "event." ghaaah. what a sad, sick marketing ploy.

The death of Captain Marvel actually made the papers here. I read about it this morning, along with accounts of the deaths of other superheroes.

Amazing what passes for news these days.
