Barbie's dog eats and makes a mess. [More:]
"Tanner, Barbie's dog, eats and ejects waste from her body. At this point, Barbie can pick it up with her scooper, and then Tanner will eat it again-- just like your real dog!"

The first review cracks me up.
A gift for those who need more shit in their lives.

Call me a prude, but I don't like it when dolls produce excrement. Barbie is all things perfect and artificial. This taints her image.

Why only the dog? Why not Pooping Barbie too? Kind of doesn't make sense if you're going for realism to have a dog that poops beng owned by a woman with no holes (except maybe she has holes in her earlobes...).

Because when you're Barbie you don't have to poop, you only have to clean it up with a magnetic pole.

Our little one actually has this. Even more hilarious to me is the trashcan/foodbin setup. It comes with a little trashcan that you can dump the pellets into, which funnels them directly into the little box of dog "food" that stands right next to it. Even my six year old is amused by the fact that the dog is eating its own poop.

Didn't we go through this already with Baby Alive?

Baby Alive? Didn't she come with an Andean plane-crash playset?

But the question is, once a kid loses the little poop/food pellets (which is inevitable) how much does Mattel charge you for more?

And, when the little poop/food pellets get imbedded in your carpet, how much does it hurt when you step on one in the middle of the night?

Why doesn't it pee? It should pee. My dog pees. Cleaning up pee can be just as fun as picking up poop.

lol stynxo. There's no greater pain than stepping on a Lego. It brings tears to your eyes.

You are so right, LoriFLA. I have stepped on a nail and on (many) Lego and Barbie bits, and for initial, instantaneous, pain, the Lego clearly beats the nail. The poopfood sold with this toy are very small and completely rounded bits (like a mini medicine capsule), so no pain.
