Name jrossi4r 's baby! Inspired by a comment in another thread, what would you name Baby jrossi4r if you had your druthers?[More:]

Wendigo's a perfectly cromulent name.

Please don't smite me; I'm only trying to cheer you up.
Shoo Fly Pie if it's a girl, (with Pie being the obvious nickname) and Wallpaper Paste if it's a boy. Wally for short.

Actually, Druthers is an nice aristocratic-sounding name.

I depends on the last name, but I'm predicting that "Jiminy" is gonna be a pretty popular name soon. jrrossi4r should jump on the bandwagon before it's too late.

We're leaning toward Vulva Jean for a girl.

What about naming the baby after a well-loved cartoon? There's a plethora of good names to choose from. For example:

Magilla Gorilla
Scooby Do
Bullwinkle
Squiddly-Diddly
Huckleberry
Boo-Boo
Yogi
Quickdraw McGraw
Pixie
Dixie
Milton the Monster

Actually...someone wrote in Lilith a while ago that when her daughter was five she pointed to her crotch in the bathtub and asked what it was. When told: "Vulva...that's a pretty name for a girl."

;-D

I've already said Saskia, but also:Little Nicola...if you want the Beatles link--or Irena for the panther woman in Cat People.

Nah. My five year old's already got 2 nylextreathrope arkathbeshes in her class. Too popular.

But I do like the thought of Grape Ape.

Along the same lines, maybe the kid's first and middle name could be Major. And then when he or she (I can't remember if you know or not) joins an armed force, his/her name would be Maj. Major Major jrossi4r.

Ooh, I think I also like Maleficent as a name. You know, get the kid started on the goth kick already.

And what about a boy named Sue?

Jros - "Jah ros" or "Jay ross"
Ross - "Ross"
Ossi - "oh see" or "ah, see"
I4rj - "I forge"
4rjr - "Forr jay er" or "Forger" -- if the baby looks criminal.
Rjro - "Are jay roh" or "Are, jayrow"

My sister is changing her middle name and is seriously considering "Danger".
posted by Specklet 28 February | 18:25
"Danger" is a good middle name. I also recommend "YaddaYadda" and "Middle Part."

I'm so sad Moxie Crimefighter is taken. I tried to get my sister to consider Crimefighter as her new middle name, but she balked because it's currently in use.

danf, as my mother would say: don't be a scorch.
posted by Specklet 28 February | 19:14
Well, if she liked Danger and Crimefighter, perhaps she should go with Ninja.

My brother-in-law told his siblings that he was giong to name his first born son Mustafah Agamemnon. He never made good on that. Our backup name for Stuart was going to be "Maxwell Cornelius" if he looked unlike me.

How about Methuselah or Nebuchadnezzar? Been a while since those were in common usage.

We were also thinking of Geneva if it had been a girl.
posted by plinth 28 February | 19:24
Yeah, Moxie Crimefighter, Pilot Inspektor AND Audio Science are all taken.

I heart IRFH.
posted by Specklet 28 February | 19:53
Sheesh. I'm surprised no one else has suggested "Bunny". Or "Hyzenthlay" from "Watership Down". Or "Fiver" or "BigWig/Thylali" for a boy. Why not "Peter Cottontail"? Flopsy or Mopsey?

Continuing IRFH's idea: ChockFullOfNuts would be unique, too.
