I'm working on the collage emcee thingie. I was doing fine copying and pasting the elements into my base image. The backgrounds were transparent, etc. Well, now they're not. I started over because I went a different direction and now the elements won't paste in with transparent backgrounds.

I've already hassled poor taz, who should be sleeping, and she sent me the elements with transparent backgrounds. It didn't help, they're still pasting with white backgrounds.

I must have done something to screw it up, but heck if I know what it was.

Hope me, Mechazens, you're my only help!

PS: I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop and it's doing the same thing. I don't really know how to use PS and since our squares are due on Friday/Saturday, I don't really have time to learn.

I don't know PSP, but in Photoshop I would say check your Image Mode and see if it's in a mode that doesn't allow transparent backgrounds. I can't remember which is which, but between RGB and Indexed Color, one of them does and the other one doesn't. This knowledge is several years out of date, so your milage may vary.

P.S. Has anyone remarked yet on what a lovely picture that is of your feet on the left sidebar? I'm not a foot fetishist, but that's a gorgeous shot!

I think between PSP and PS I've got it figured out and can throw together some lame attempt at collaging.

It wasn't what you mentioned 'bean, but thanks for your input and your comment on my footers.
