Smells that make you go… ick. [More:]I know I’m not supposed to say this about food, that I should feel lucky that I can afford such luxuries, but I really don’t like the smell of milk, when it’s boiling, or boiled, and waiting to cool down.
I used to hate the taste too, but I’ve gotten over that now. I remember as a kid standing over the kitchen sink with my morning glass of milk, waiting to gulp it down, and then wash my mouth out as soon as possible.
I personally blame Cartoons for all of this. All of those episodes of Tom and Jerry where they’re fighting over that bowl of milk made it seem like it were a liquefied version of Nutella. Same thing for Honey, which when I first tasted it, and didn’t get that warm chocolaty taste that I was expecting—wanted to spit out.
Few things make me go ick but I don't like the consistency of oysters. Chew twice and swallow. *ugh*

Might be because snot, as in slimy spits on the ground that you see far too often IMHO really make me gag for real. I can't even think of a spit without gagging. *gag*

Smells I can't stand:
Weed.
Clove cigarettes.
Nag Champa incense (though Wikipedia tells me it has a lot of sandalwood in it, which I like in other forms).

Paper Mills.

I had a milk aversion as a child too, hadjiboy, and now just use it in coffee and the rare bowl of cereal, or cooking. And I still don't get honey.

Strangely, I rather like the smell of skunk.

Patchouli

Microwave popcorn (I like real popcorn, but the microwave variety always smells vaguely of urine to me.)

Baby powder (especially when used in shoes to keep feet from getting sweaty and stinky. It doesn't work; it just makes feet smell like sweaty baby powder. Ick.)

The cheese section of grocery stores--there are only certain kinds I like.

The smell I cannot stand, that will make me retch without fail:

Old, rotting liquified lettuce at the bottom of your refridgerator.

Blech!

In the summer when the Lilac trees are going crazy, to me it smells like strong cat pee.

Another cat-related smell I hate: Canned cat food. Disgusting.

Some sort of rose-scented perfume that lots of elderly women wear. It must be an age thing - once you pass 70, you put on gallons of rosewater.

Mothballs. I gag when customers come around wearing clothes they just took out of storage that reek of mothballs.

Rainbaby, I don't mind the smell of skunk, either. Unless it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

rotten yeast in large quantities on hot day in a dumpster. I learned this from my stint working in an industrial bakery.
