Last year, as the summer wound down and the hummingbirds were preparing to migrate, they came fast and furious to my three feeders. As I filled the feeders, they would literally zip all around me, chasing each other. I loved it!

See that fighting over the feeder¿ I've never seen them hanging on the feeder wire like that though, smart one. They're down right nasty to each other. I've watched them at a feeder, plenty of sugar water and yet not once would they all drink together. It's one at a time, then chase the one away. You know the swoop, in a curve. Nasty.
I agree it's wonderful when they're rushing you to hang up 'those flowers' though, that's different.
I was amongst Elk — it was a magical experience.
