Update. Me, pips and the Janus went to see Joe Famous tonight. He's looking pretty good, all things considered, even though he's on a lot of pain meds. Takes more than some sissy-ass car to knock out my main man. He thanks everybody for all the cards and kind words and hopes to see some of you all soon.

It is better to be on more pain killers in the beginning. I learned this from a motorcycle accident. I know his pain.

I can only imagine that Joe is the favorite patient on the floor, what with all the nurses, interns, and such visiting him cause he's so cool.
