Ah, Oconomowoc.→[More:]I lived in Oconomowoc as a child. It was a simpler time-- fewer sword-wielding avengers.
I've been there, in the days when I lived in Milwaukee, but it left no discernable impression upon my memory. I guess there's nothing to do there except lounge around your apartment and watch pr0n...
I 'magine that this will be used by all spectra of folks to prove one point or another. My hit, if he'd had a gun rather than a sword, the guy, or maybe his dvd player might be dead today.
When I first heard the sword pr0n story, I didn't hear the location, but I had chuckled to myself because the Milwaukee paper had just done a story on Wisconsin's sword factory.
He's lucky he wasn't met by a 12 guage shotgun full of frangible shot. That's such nasty stuff, it basically produces inoperable wounds, and if the round was aimed low, he'd have essentially lost a leg, as amputation above the wound is sometimes the only medical option available, if he didn't bleed to death on the spot, in a couple of minutes.
Something to think about, if you're ever prompted to be a door bustin' hero.
Should the headline not read — 'Man Brandishes Family Heirloom At Neighbour"—more inside
I couldn't resist — is that what you meant to say Specklet ¿
The town name almost translates to 'What to talk about' in Polish if it was oconomowic. ]Written: O co, no mowic.[
But no phone ¿ Jeebus. Just heirlooms ¿
Although who wouldn't come to help someone sounding like they're in distress ]at least in his mind[. Bring your sword by all means, but knock loudly and ask what the hell is going on, for instance. Don't stand in front of the door — you've watched the movies. He didn't listen long enough by the door, it seems.
It won't stick in court, he'll pay for the damage and sign a peace bond.
You know, honestly, if the guy was watching the porn that, um, does feature women screaming for help... can you blame him?
I mean, imagine if the headline was "neighbor listened and did nothing as woman brutally raped, assumed it was porn."
(although I did read about this on something awful a couple days ago- their theory was any guy who owns a sword and lives with mom most likely doesn't actually know what sex sounds like)
No one got hurt, and intentions were pretty noble. Hopefully they'll let him go.
