In Houston (and Stillwater, Okla.) there are drive-thru liquor stores. They're called beer barns.

I think drive-thru speed dating is an idea whose time has come; you can have a brief chat and form your opinion of someone based on what kind of car they drive, all in one fell swoop. Plus, it will give a whole new meaning to the term "speed bumps".

There's a drive-in church about a mile from my apartment - its setup looks pretty much the same as in the linked blog. I've never seen it in action on a Sunday - I have no idea how many people actually show up. I can't imagine the appeal of it.

Hey, The Climax, that's right down route 22 from where I live. I've driven past hundreds of times but never driven through. It's not just the drive-thru, there's a BYOB stripper bar there too. It's very funny that there are more stripper bars out in the farmland here than in the big bad city of Pittsburgh.

Heh, octothorpe - for a moment I was imagining that as a "Bring Your Own Stripper" bar... this could be a big idea. Somebody should get right on that.

Taz, in Pennsylvania, if a bar serves alcohol they get regulated by the LCB who says that strippers have to wear pasties and g-strings. BYOB bars don't have such restrictions.

In Australia most of the bottle shops (liquor stores) are of the drive through variety.

There's a drive-thru funeral home across the river from us. It used to be a bank. People got used to the idea of a drive-thru wake surprisingly quickly.

I like the idea of drive-thru convenience stores, although I've never been to one.

I remember a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (Southern California) that there used to be drive-thru convenience stores.

In Langley, BC there's a pub named The Artful Dodger that has a drive-thru beer and wine store. It also had a little corral out front to park ..er.. hitch your horse. And yes, I saw horses tied up several times. We lived about five minutes from the pub, and no, although we intended to go there for some pub-grub we never did.
