Another New Year topic, but with cooking! I made traditional Korean New Year's food today. [More:]I didn't want the process to go to waste so I documented it for posterity's sake. Then I didn't want the pictures to go to waste, so here they are.

Feel free to throw stones at me if this is not proper Mecha material.
That's awesome! I'm honestly kinda spacey (Read: Did not take ADD meds today) right now but I'll make a valient attempt to read them later tonight. You've got pictures so you've already got 60% of my attention. Looks good!

(Also: Is your friend Helen asian? My sister's name is Helen and she has always said that she's never met anyone else with her name who isn't Asian. Just curious!

Alas, my mother also made this soup today -- with homemade dumplings! -- but I missed it because she made it for her church, and I don't go there. Poo.

I wish I knew how to cook the more complicated Korean foods.

Does this Year of the Pig thing mean that the Muslims and the Jews will see past their differences to their common interests and jointly declare All Out Holy War against the Buddhists? Just wondering.

kkokkodalk, that's a seriously fantastic post. Looks delish, and the pictures really make it interesting to read. Needs to go on here, I reckon.
