Who the hell was paying the power bill?

Maybe his pension was paid straight into his account, and his bills automatically paid from there. If nobody knew he'd died and his pension had kept on being paid, then his bills would also be up to date.

I wonder what he was watching when he died. Or did he just go to sleep in front of the tv and never wake up? I'm surprised none of the neighbors heard the tv going continuously. Poor guy. Or maybe not "poor guy". Heck, he was comfortably at home in his surroundings. It's not like he fell and broke a hip and died from starvation because he couldn't move or anything.
