1. It's about negative five here, and I'm still going out dancing. Hey, I have pretty new dresses to wear! (The dress situation has been resolved more than satisfactorily. Daddy O's still rocks, and I still encourage everyone to give them money so they can look like a 50s pin up queen.)
2. I am mad crazy about a completely unavailable guy and it's driving me to distraction.
3. I interviewed for the job of my dreams about a week ago and didn't get it. However, I also had the best week at my current job I've had in a long time, including one of my accounts emailing my boss singing praises to my awesomeness. So I guess things happen for a reason.

1. As of 3 PM today, I'm on vacation for a week. Yay!! %)

2. We leave tomorrow for Nashville, for 3 days... we're going to see the Philip Glass Ensemble, a concert I only found out about because MeChazen syntax (whom I met at Bunnystock) posted about it here. He and his wife are going, too, and I look forward to seeing him again as well as being PSYCHED about finally hearing some of Glass' music in a live setting.

That event this weekend, plus having rainbaby over to the house earlier this week, plus all the wonderful messages I got in my birthday thread that gaspode started, plus my addiction to MGL's blog, plus my addiction to interrobang's comic, plus all my photo-geekery with matildaben and iconomy, plus every DAY that I spend with MeCha ALL just remind me that I somehow won the karma lottery when I found this group of folks. I'm only mildly tipsy, but I have to say, I fucking love y'all.

2. I'm watching Trading Spouses on Fox. I never watch this show, but this episode is quite entertaining.

3. I'm thinking of booking a flight with Alaska Airlines. I've never flown with this airline, and am a tad apprehensive.

1. It's been a good, busy work week - half the time I was in meetings and away from my desk so I couldn't surf the net, and even when I was at my desk, there was work to do so I guess it's moot. The good thing about being so busy though is that the days flew by and now I've a long weekend to look forward to!

2. I'm feeling resentment towards my mother and have been most of the evening, ever since I overheard her talking to her friend about me. I realize that this is what mothers do, they talk about their kids, but I would really prefer that she didn't - I tell her things because she's my mother and I want her to know what's going on in my life, not so that she can turn around and tell her friends about it.

3. We're ushering in the Year of the Pig this weekend, and to that end, we're having a big family dinner on Sunday complete with multiple courses - probably 10 or 12 (it's gotta be even, and 14 would be unlucky) - starting at 4pm(!) And I have lucky red pocket money to look forward to! yay!!

3. My self-esteem is very low right now. I have been overeating ('eating my feelings' of loneliness) and I have gained a lot of weight for my height in the last few months. Today it stops.
