i wish his brother George was there.

Organ atropy affects human males as well.
Morning wood lets you know it's still working.
You really do have to use it or lose it.

There are all these commercials now that are men talking about how they didn't know [whatever ailment] would eventually affect their genitals.
There's also a book all about how men should take care of their health or lose use of their genitals.
It's amazing it take this kind of thing to make men take care of their health, except it's not.

It's really too bad. Poor ole George.

I really must point something out, though:

Before Darwin’s arrival the giant tortoises were in trouble again. Whalers, merchantmen and naval vessels took thousands on board as an insurance against scurvy, because the tortoises could live for up to 18 months without food or water.

I really dont't think a tortoise would be protection against scurvy; scurvy is caused by a deficiency of vitamin C. They probably kept them for a fresh food source.
