The Atlas of Literature Mapping out characters and writers and their effect on their environment and vice versa. A very cool book.
Then later today while researching some stuff regarding databases I happened across the
Literature Map. Enter the name of an author and then you get a graphical representation of similar authors. The closer an author's name is to the author you have searched for the more likely you will like them. I have just run it a few times but it seems about 50/50 with some results dead on and some way off. Still it may lead to some new reading.
