BTW, for future travelers of this thread, in a warmer month you will not see snow as this image updates every minute :)

A "lovely, snowy" day is an oxymoron, but I'm glad you're enjoying it! :)

The tree in next door's garden is covered in blossom.

Last week it was covered in snow.

Thanks for the cam shots terrapin. Gorgeous.
It's wintery white here ]Toronto[ too now and -29ºC with wind chill.

As the snow accumulates (quickly!) on the roof in front of the camera it makes it look like our cabin is disappearing. It isn't ... yet.

BP: A snowy day is a lovely one when there is no reason to leave the house, which is what we have today. Plus, VT is a state prepared to deal with snow, so we know it won't be long after the snow finishes that the roads will be cleared.

just a lot of freezing rain and sleet here in NYC. I can hear it falling on the roof, sounds like sizzling grease in a pan.

Snow day in Massamachusetts. I'm working from home.

We have "liberal leave" in DC, which means we can stay home, but have to take a vacation day. Which is pretty much the case every day, innit?

The office is nearly deserted, and I have practically nothing to do. But the sidewalks and such are so icy and snowy that I don't want to take a walk or anything. What to do?

Where is Turnbridge? Is it up by Putney?
posted by plinth 14 February | 11:16
Tunbridge is further north, plinth. Central Vermont.

The snow has stopped here, thankfully! It was pretty bad yesterday.

So, on Monday night, Cinnamon, a couple friends and I hung out with Vickie Howell, host of DIY Network's "Knitty Gritty," after her book signing here. (She knew Cinnamon via email in connection w/ the Craft Mafia, and knew our friend via Stitch'n'Bitch.) It was a lot of fun, but she was worried about her Tuesday morningflight being cancelled because of the snowstorm on its way in.

The reason I bring this up is, she was heading to Vermont for a taping -- which means that if she didn't get out of Chicago yesterday, she might not be getting there today, either!

Ah, Tunbridge, not Turnbridge. That would explain why I couldn't find it.

webcam is almost completely covered by snow as of 2pm on 2/14
posted by terrapin 14 February | 14:19
well, unless I climb out on my snowy roof (NOT!) the webcam is too covered with snow to see anything.
