One of the many things I enjoy about parenting My nearly-4-year-old daughter has "discovered" the Muppet Show (we have a collection on DVD). This was one of my favorite shows up until 8th grade, and it really tickles me to see her getting the humor of it. She especially loves the Alice Cooper and Vincent Price episodes (she also calls the show "Scary Frog").→[More:]

It's also great because I get to watch them again with her. We were watching the Debby Harry show and in which she sang The Rainbow Connection with Kermit. He voice certainly wasn't quite right for it, but it was still very sweet.

That's awesome, plinth. Try as I might, I can't get my girly to love the Muppets as I do. Although she does enjoy the songs. (I can't sing along with some of them, though. Rainbow Connection and It's Not Easy Being Green make my voice crack with emotion. And Gonzo's I'm Going to Go Back There Someday can make me sob.)

Pure Muppet love here. My girls too. I have all 5 seasons on DVDs...I have one of those DVD players that will play xvid and divx, so I can fit a season on one DVD. It's amazing.

My girls love that Mime duo whose name I can't recall, and Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge, plus Debbie Harry, Paul Simon (a great episode!) and a few others.

You just reminded me of yet another collection I must have! I loved the Muppet Show, especially the two old men in the balcony...nuts, my mind is blank.

I totally typed that wrong. It came out "my mink is bland."
