Sake Make Better A Cheering Thread for Beverages! [More:] I had a 2 decanter warm sake lunch today and not only do I feel waaaaaaaay less like the collapsing emotional basket case I was when I walked shakily into that cheap Asian fusion restaurant, but I'm being much more efficient at work as well! Hurray for sake!
Hurrah!

oh yay
i'm stranded and boozeless but it's no big deal.
For some reason i have an assortment of olives, a truly ridiculous amount of garlic (and i mean ridiculous) and more eggs that cool hand luke could comfortably eat without something at stake.

Yay, beverages!

This gunpowder green tea takes some of the edge away from the knowledge that, two hours from now, I'll be going to an elementary school 'literacy fair.'

Japanese whiskey is actually pretty good, too

I had sake once. Many many years ago. I had the opportunity to taste that glass twice, and that was that for sake and me.

But I am glad that you enjoyed.

It's definitely tea time.
Now i have to see what tea i have.
And then pick.
i'm exhausted just thinking about it.
i think i have some Stashes, some green , pg tips or some brit kind, and maybe jasmine or Tazo?

What does one do at a 'literacy fair'?
posted by ethylene 13 February | 17:38
The notes I've scribbled look something like this:

(person's name)
(school name)
Literacy Night
Tuesday, Feb. 13
flyers and/or visit
(phone number)
booth
5:30-7:00
Principal remarks
2 sessions
25 minutes
booths in cafe
applications
(school name)
40 parents

So, to answer your question, your guess is as good as mine.

Do you have to wear a hat or a name tag or other assorted flair?
Do you have a beverage option opinion?

I'm wearing my regular biz-caz outfit, and doesn't it seem like a good day for jasmine?
posted by box 13 February | 17:57
i agree, needs a touch perfume
now if it's not there, i do wonder

We'll leave the light on for after the fair
should you want to come in.

Sake for make the brain happy double plus good!

There's a place near our house that has warmed apple sake that is wicked! Its easy to put the whole mini-carafe away before you know it.

I've never had sake. I must try it.

And I'm really looking forward to being able to self-medicate again. I'm so good at it.

Warmed apple sake? I must find this thing and drink it. Sounds far too delicious to be legal.
posted by elizard 13 February | 23:34
What jrossi said. One of these days I shall try it.

youngergirl44, is that a cup on top of the bottle? If so - nifty!
