Snowing in DC, too, though I had to come to work. Early release? Snow day Wednesday? Here's hoping!

Lots of glorious snow here in Columbus. No school. Office closed. Winter, I'm sorry I badmouthed you earlier.

We've got 27cm in the last 4 days (not a lot grant you but about 4 times the average for the entire month). Some people predicably are whining because they feel the city isn't doing enough to clear the streets. They even want to increase taxes (can you believe it, people asking for the goverment to increase the tax rate?). I can't help but wonder how many of the whiners have good snow tires.

I had to dig my car out from a snowbank this morning. I also saw someone driving down the sidewalk on an ATV. I got confused for a moment and thought I got lost in the snow and ended up in Wisconsin.

It's offically *danger* weather outside until past midnight, so the news is all "Oooh! Let's see how much tomorrow's gonna suck!"

Here in Central New Jersey it's been snowing since 8:30 this morning with nothing to show for it. Nice, small snowflakes that weren't supposed to start until 5 pm, but barely a dusting on the grass. Nuts. I want a good snowstorm. I want to build snowmen with my kids! It's supposed to continue and turn to freezing rain and ice after midnight (boo - hiss) but I'm hoping it stays snow!

All that snow is supposedly heading towards Toronto sometime after 8pm tonight and there was a voicemail from HR this afternoon asking us to call in tomorrow morning to confirm whether or not we should head into the office...so guess who's fingers are crossed for a snow day tomorrow?
