It's just one thing after the other. I'd pretty much resigned myself to the lack of new tivos in the UK, and please don't try to tell me that Sky didn't have it's fingers over that little fuckup. Previous to that they'd priced the BBC out of the Soccer market, taking the sport from being something for everyone and relegating it to a sport you had to pay to see.

Never mind the lobbying that goes on to break the BBC up.

And now this. Unilaterally deciding to drop the money it pays Virgin Media for NTL/Virgin Basic channels and at the same time putting up the price that NTL must pay for the Basic Sky channels. And then, when Virgin refuses to play ball, Sky ask the subscribers to DDOS Virgin's call centre.

But at least the company which runs Sky, Fox, The Times, etc doesn't have a direct line to 10 Downing Street. At least you couldn't accuse Blair of being one of Murdoch's lap dogs. NOT!
