So? Did you like it? I think she's a great actress.

I found the movie somewhat confusing. For the longest time I thought the boyfriend character was her brother, and I didn't know what roles several other central characters were playing, not in terms of intrigue but simply "who were they".

Blanchett though absolutely commanded your attention. I wish I had seen this on a big screen rather than on a laptop. Such presence!

The costumes looked so authentically medieval with those rough heavy fabrics. The interior sets were quite convincing as well with those columns constantly stretching into the shadows above.

Elizabeth is one of my favourite movies. They play a wee bit fast and loose with history but in spite of that it's an excellent film.
