Hey, can we have a music video thread?

(I don't like so much the video style in that one, but I love the blend of melisma together with sharply-defined rhythms)

I had a mad urge the other day to watch the full length video for Thomas Dolby's Hyperactive. It held up quite well.

This video reminds me just how strange and exciting the B-52s were back in the day. (I was 15 when this song came out.)

I was soooo obsessed with this video back in the day. My grade school best friend and I would play the record and act out the video in my front room. We knew all the dance steps, everything.

I have posted those over on vox too, but:
I am on a Muse binge lately: Time is running out.
And Calexico's Ballad of the Calbe Hogue is an eye (and ear) candy.

I intend to view all the music videos posted on YouTube. This is my goal in life right now.

Leaves Eyes
- warm and saturated.
Agalloch - beautiful, but stark.
Ayreon - Immediately became one of my favorite videos ever. Bastard child of, I don't know, Zakk Wylde & Ian Anderson?

Thanks carmina for the Calexico. Never saw any of their video's, saw them live. Wonderful on both counts. Love those fluffy clouds. Hmmm, desert. I have the FR. version of 'Ballad of Cable Hogue', by them.

There's just something about this video that i've only just recently seen. It could be all the murder balnced by the leaf blowing.

Hey, Otis, you might like Voivod's cover of Astronomy Domine.

Thanks Wolfdog. I'll have to check that out when I get home. I saw Voivod on tour with Faith No More and Soundgarden back in the good old days. Seemed like a strange combo. Voivod were headlining and about half the crowd left when they took the stage. There were some hardcore dedicated Voivod fans there though.

Voivod is that all by themselves, regardless of who they're playing with. Their early days are interesting but I don't really find the stuff very listenable; then they had a run of three albums (Nothingface, Angel Rat, and Outer Limits) that I find nearly flawless. Then it's a mixed bag again, from there on out.
