It actually comes as something of a relief that, apparently, Mefi isn't the only place that these kinds of body-modification-related discussions must happen over and over and over again.

I dunno, seemed fairly tame to me (the conversation). I'm pro-body modding in general, but I used to know a guy who had a big inch-and-a-half piercing in one ear. It looked OK when the plug was in, but I have to admit when it was removed, the flapping stretched hole kind of gave me the heebie-jeebies. But, to each their own.

I will go with unsettling and mildly creepy. But my stomach's upset right now so I'm sure that's not helping. The stretched ear lobe fad is pretty nasty looking to me though.

I just don't get what happens when you wake up one day and you don't want big stretched out earlobes anymore (well, I know you can get them surgically put back together, but it seems like a lot of work). I'm really just too lazy for body modification and all the ramifications.

Also, the girl with a hedgehog in her cleavage looks about 12. The "and racks" meme is kinda creepy.
