Things that make me sleepy. 1. Cats bathing. 2. People humming. 3. Heavy lunches.
Riding in a car or on the train does it to me. If I'm in a car and I'm not driving, I almost always go to sleep. It's been that way since I was a kid.
And when I'm riding the train home from work in the afternoon (about a 30-minute trip), I ALWAYS nod off if I sit down. Which is why I ride home standing up, a lot of times.
Stephen Hawking's Universe. I swear to God. I love the man, I love the subject, I loved the show when it ran, but you could narcolize me within a ten acre radius in less than ten seconds with that man's voice. I'm not sure why. I tried so many times to watch it. I almost drowned in the shower once when I left the TV on in the other room. My wife was watching it once when I came home and I crashed into the house and fell into a seven-year coma. When I awoke from the coma, I could read a stranger's astrological chart just by touching the inside of their wallet.
Paradise Lost did it to me every time. I'd make it maybe a page and before going off to dreamland. I don't think I'll ever get to finish it unless I've got a year free and some sort of muscle-stimulating apparatus so that I don't atrophy to the point of complete immobility.
