Noooooooooooo! Indian mangoes are OMG amazing and so different than the green ones. They are possibly the greatest fruit ever. I'm am yellow with envy.

I got an advanced copy of an album that's not out until April, so that's a good thing for this weekend. And it sounds rather fantastic so far.

Mango Curry, anyone?

The hightlight of the weekend for me so far has been the acquisition of 3 (count 'em) large packets of Doritos for 50p at the market. So don't sweat it!

I would just enjoy them as they are. There is no need to mess about with them. If you are not going to be able eat all of them before they go off, prepare the fruit and freeze in small amounts for future enjoyment.

If you want to create a kick ass fruit salad, combine the mangoes with papaya, banana, pineapple, fresh coconut (stredded) or desicated coconut and honey. If you have ginger that has been preserved in honey that also works. Make cardomon yoghurt to go with, or zap the lot in a smoothie maker for liquid heaven. Frozen mango is a top smoothie ingredient as well.

They will make a fine lassi, but I think they are too soft and sweet to curry, use the green ones for that.

Oh man. You have no idea how jealous I am. Indian mangoes are my favorite food in the whole wide world, and I can't get them here.

I haven't had any good mangoes since 1994. *sob*
