03 February 2007

Three Point Status Report [More:]

1 - First attempt at quitting smoking has failed. But I learned, and will do better next time = Tuesday

2 - Kat, I'm a Kitty Kat, and I'm old old old and I probably have an upper respratory infection. I love my vet. So we're treating that, and the kat is in no danger of taking the big jump into the other side (or into the dip) tomorrow, for the SB party

3 - I have aged ten years in the last two. I see myself, I see my peers, and I am just tragified.

4 - (bonus) I am so not readay for the SB party yet. Working on it. Also, spell check not working for me, so I'm sorry for mistakes.
1. The grandbun is at my house RIGHT NOW.
2. My cold is gone so I can hug him.
3. Did I mention the grandbun is here????

- Mailed my square to dano.
- Finished updates to the band's one-sheet (woefully overdue that one).
- Ready to work on the comic, but considering stepping out to find a winter coat (I've been layering two Fall jackets together, but am starting to think this winter might actually get cold enough to warrant the purchase).

1: hardly left my place all day, apart from going to by food
2: spent far too long staring at computer screens today and haven't done the things I wanted to.
3: thinking about the possibility that my work-based stalker freak could lose her temp position at my company next week. Keep trying to convince myself that, if she does, it's not my fault, it's hers.

1. Stynx dragged me to the gym today. Having a workout buddy is both good and bad.
2. Eating Cheez Its and trying to knock out some work.
3. Dinner out tonight (Raices Nuevo Latino restaurant), possibly Party of the Future later in the evening.

1. have had various combinations of sniffles, coughing, and headaches for the past three days. this has not worked wonders for keeping up with classwork.
2. am (have been, pretty consistently) feeling quite isolated and abandoned, but that's what one gets for moving back home with the (ultraoverprotective) parents instead of elsewhere.
3. i want cookies. something buttery and salty and chewy with slightly burned edges. i don't know what kind of cookie fits this description, nor where to get.

1) I went to the gym today, and managed to (mostly) sprint on the rowing machine and do a 2:12/500m set. This isn't too shabby.

2) Doing a bit of work now, and waiting for my naan to toast.

3) Probably going to a cafe tonight to hear some live music, hook into the free wifi, and chill.

1) Been sick
2) On meds
3) Can't drink

I like to think of it as offering up my sobriety to the Super Bowl gods to ensure a Bears victory. Eating buffalo wings 'til I puke is just as fun as plowing through a couple buckets of beer, right? Right?

Did some shopping in the city this afternoon. Bought food at Fairway and creatine at GNC. It took a little while to find a place offering a good price on the creatine.

To calm down after said shopping, I headed to a bar I've been patronizing for more than a decade and had a rye with ginger. They use Old Overholt at this place and it made for a mighty tasty drink.

My arms and back are a little bit stiff from Friday night's workout. Oh, well. Gotta work through shit like that. Got another workout planned for tomorrow morning, in which I plan to establish my 10-rep maximums.

1. Despite a lot of bleeding from the head lately, it's been a blood free day.

2. Sweat and grubbing in the filth, or finally cleaning places that haven't been cleaned in a while (not that i'm done). moving mountains if you call your piles of crap mountains.

3. Finishing off an old bottle of voddie and feeling that momentary buoyancy. Let's say my next creative endeavors all for you, dear heart.
Believe what you will how you will for what ever reason you want.

4. Accidentally flashed the viewing public when the girls popped out as i was cleaning the windowsills.
Didn't rush to rectify it as i didn't expect any viewing public.

1. Just got up from a three hour nap

2. Spent four hours at Ikea this afternoon, bought lots of stuff including our new couch and two chairs

3. Should start rearranging furniture but am at Metachat instead

casarkos: Mrs. Fields has, or used to, a cookie that tasted like pecan pie. Except for the burnt part, it should be just about right for you.

Taking the train to Athens this morning to stay for a week.

Not 100% prepared; I have 1 hour, 45 minutes to rectify this.

Hey! Maybe I should get off the computer! :)

1. Just found out that I missed a meeting last week because the Outlook invitation didn't include having a reminder set (the meeting was in the office next door to me and those present decided that, if I couldn't be bothered to attend, they weren't going to remind me or the person sitting next to me, who was also supposed to be there). Wondering if it's just me, or if that is really the most childish thing ever?
2. Work finally starts on our house tommorrow - big yellow machines arriving this afternoon to rip trees out by the roots and masage the earth into a shape that is more pleasing to us.
3. Made up with my Mother yesterday - we haven't been speaking since before Christmas.

taz, you should be able to pack in 30 minutes or so, so you have another 1 hr, 15 min before you need to get off the computer.

heh. I also had cleaning to do. I made it to the train with plenty of time to spare. Happy! But found someone in my assigned seat. Sad! This person was mute, and managed to convince me with emphatic hand motions that I was in the wrong car. After schlepping myself and my bag all the way back through the adjoining car through the teeny-teeny aisle, going against "traffic" I was able to ascertain that indeed, someone else had #21 on this car, which indeed was B2 and not B1 where my seat 21 was being squatted by an ancient but very fierce deaf-mute lady. It took third party intervention to convince her, not that she was entirely convinced, and I missed the rolling out of the city part, and was kind of an anxious mess until a couple hours later, when I turned into bored, antsy, cooped up mess.
