Sutro Tower. I love antennae, and any kind of wire or girder tower, so I can't believe I've never seen this in person when in SF.
That Sutro tower is pretty cool. I always remember thinking what a big ass tower that was, and that I'd never seen one quite like it.

It's probably the 4th or 5th most recognizable landmark in SF (after the bridges, the Transamerica Building, and Coit Tower). I never knew its name, though.

Look up the Sutro Baths -- there are lots of great old photos of a long-lost SF gem.

If you'd like to take it with you when you go, you'd be welcome to do so. It's rather ugly.
Now, the sutro baths? I wish we still had those.

Our own Frisbee Girl has a number of pics of the tower.

I like the Sutro Tower from far away. When I actually climbed up Twin Peaks to see it close up, I found it rather frightening. It's HUGE, and there are warning signs everywhere, and it just gave off the sense of "Don't get near me, HUMAN!"

You've probably never seen it because its base is often fogged in, and the rest of it pokes out above the cloud layer.
