How long should I wait for a confirmation email while setting up a Vox account?→[More:] So, I finally signed up for Vox this morning before leaving for work, and now it's been almost four hours and I haven't gotten the confirmation email that lets me finish the registration.

I checked my spam folder- nothing. I had them re-send the email- nothing. I sent myself a test email at the address I gave them, and it popped into my inbox about sixty seconds later.

Did you Voxers out there find that this step took a long time when you signed up?

I got a confirm immediately, BP. Not that I ever actually finished setting up a vox thingy, or anything...

Well, it's been eight hours now... I sent them a message via their feedback form, hit the "re-send email" button a couple more times, and still nada. I'll try it again in a few days.

That seems to be the case for most folks, deborah. I'm guessing their registration system is down or something.

(Also, I said it had been eight hours- I meant six. Not that it matters much at this point...)

I just tried to re-register with a different email address, but it says "boringpostcards(dot)vox(dot)com" is taken.

Yeah, by that guy you won't fucking send an email to so he can register!! Aaargh.

That reminds me of the iconomy/flickr saga. Maybe you can register BoringPostcardsVersusVox(dot)vox(dot)com. :)
