Ron Jeremy's list of Flickr groups is sort of depressing. Seems like even a porn star would have SOME other interests.

Can't he afford to pay for the Pro account himself? I guess appearing on The Surreal Life isn't as lucrative as one might think.

As detailed in the bio-pic Porn Star, Jeremy is incredibly, unbelievably cheap. He uses plastic garbage bags as luggage. It's all apparently part of his insecurity that his career will one day end, and he'd better save his money. Now, that's a valid concern, to be sure. But he's taken it to miserly extremes.

When I saw Porn Star, there was a Q&A with Jeremy afterwards. He struck me, and everyone else there who I talked to, as being insecure about just about everything. He wants desperately for everyone to like him. He wouldn't end the Q&A, even after it went long beyond its prescribed time. Finally, the theater manager had to come and almost walk him away from the crowd. He then signed autographs and posed for pictures in the lobby as long as there was a line.

A special memory of that night is that the woman who would eventually become my wife first laid eyes on me there. Ah, memories.

I have a soft spot for the Hedgehog, I must admit. He was in the first porn movie I ever saw. This was probably around 1980 or so, on Betamax. He played a doctor. He gave a woman an, er, injection. Apparently it saved her life. She was very grateful.

essexjan, was that the one where he poured some kind of liquid (Coke, I think) into her um, special place, then drank it out with a straw? If so, I think I saw the same one.

No, it was one where, because of Dr. Ron's shenanigans with his nurse, a stain got on the beautiful, young, female patient's X-ray which was interpreted as a deadly disease. Dr Ron told her she was going to die. Then the nurse wiped off the X-ray and they realised the mistake. But they didn't tell the patient. Instead she had to undergo Dr Ron's special treatment, the meat injection. As I say, it saved her life and they all lived happily ever after.

I appreciate that he's been working the BBW niche lately as his mainstream career tails off.

Judging from the few flicks I've seen him in, Ron's got a pair of testimonials to reckon with.

It would be odd but interesting if he joined the bunnies. I'm not sure it would be a good thing only because of the possible influx of lots of new ..er.. members.
