Awwww.... I remember when my polar bear was that age. You really do wish they could stay that little forever, instead of growing up and being able to (accidentally) take your head off with one playful swipe of the paw.
Ever notice how I never post in the "look at this cute X" threads? Yeah--I'm not really one for cuteness. I don't even like the word. But this? This baby polar bear? That's some cuteness even I can get behind.
Polar bears like to eat seals. Seals don't like being eaten by polar bears. As a defense, seals only sleep for about a minute at a time, so they can look around for polar bears. The polar bears will sneak up on the seals while they're sleeping, then freeze when the seal wakes up and looks around. Most of the background is white, and polar bears are mostly white, so they blend into the background. Except for their noses. Their noses are black, and might give them away, so while they're standing still and the seal is looking around, polar bears will cover their noses with their paw so the seal doesn't see them.
