¡¡¡GOURANGA!!! I bought a ticket to the states. One-way! I just got the date of my visa interview, and it should really be a formality. After that, I'll be marrying the nice lady I met in the now-defunct MetaFilter IRC channel. A new life awaits for the generic one!
awwwwwwww! Nice lady lurrrrve Pretty_Generic. So sweet.

Exciting! Where will you guys be living, again? Will you be stopping by NYC to meet up with us?

The love of pretty_generic and thirteenkiller - it has a ring to it. Congratulations, you two crazy kids! And by crazy I mean, well, crazy.

But in a good way.

Heh! I'm at the beginning of the whole visa process (and the alphabet soup of bureaucratic hooey -- I-129F, NOA1, G-325A, blah blah blah). It'll take about nine months, I figure -- in September I'll give birth to a six-foot-tall baby with a beer gut, stubble and a British accent. I looking forward to it!

Congratulations on surviving the process, and best wishes on your life together!

So once you arrive you can get married and then file your 485 for AOS, your 765 for your EAD, your 131 for your AP, and associated stuff like your 865.

Then you wait eons for your interview, and then 20 months later you file your 751 to remove your condition.

Clear and simple, and only ~$1000 in fees.

visajourney is excellent, as is alt.visa.us.marriage-based

Congrats! Take pictures of you guys together after you're married. The INS will want them in about three years. And is that the hedgehog with a flower in your photo montage? I love that hedgehog.

I hope the u-SOFA is good to you. Don't mind the mess. Or the idiot in charge.

Happy times!

Ah yes, I remember my green card interview like it was only 2 years ago.

P_G: I've been visiting VisaJourney for about 6 months now -- it has been very helpful indeed. It's good to know that we're not doing this alone.

They want me to learn ASP.NET. Should I bother? || Tomorrow, I go into battle.
