Oh man. That made me sick - I mean as in I felt nauseated. I like how you can see the reflection the the legs of the people who just stand and stare while the cat goes nuts. I have no speakers here at work - is there sound?
(Work and work)
Well, those heads never seem to stop rolling
(Work and work)
As those rags and machines keep a-going
(Work and work)
essexjan snapped her last nerve to the bone
(Work)
I can't wait till it's time to go home (?)
At the cat wash
Workin' at the cat wash
Don't swing that machete at me
I'm just finding it hard to believe that there is actually a company that makes machines like this, and that pet stores could get people to voluntarily stick their pets into them.
Oh well, I'm guessing that if that particular pet owner ever tries to get that cat anywhere near that thing again, he or she is going to end up minus a few important body parts.
I'm shocked that someone thought this would be a good idea and I'm even more shocked that they didn't stop that thing as soon as the cat started freaking out. Now I hate people even more.
Well, I thought the first two or three seconds were funny - the cat finally realizing, "Holy crap! there's water coming through the floor!" If it ended there, I wouldn't have had any issues with it. After that point, it quickly dropped the funny and became the cruel.
And I hadn't noticed this when I posted the link, but the person who posted the video added this:
A pet supply store offers a "pet spa". It has a device that will wash and dry your pet. After fighting with cats in the past. We decided to try it. The pet store told us that cats love it. As you can see he didn't like it. We stopped it ealry.
Anyone who would believe that a cat who put up a fight when getting a sink- or tub-cleaning would just love this contraption is perhaps a little gullible. Or insane.
This reminded me of a rubbishy 80's horror movie called Cat's Eyes where a cat was put on a electric floor and jumped around in a similar manner (although, unlike this, it wasn't for real)
It's a very rare thing to have to clean a cat, unless of course, your cat has problems keeping itself clean. And you can avoid a full bath by using a warm, damp washcloth.
So I guess I'm a really bad person for laughing at that? But don't mistake my laughter for approval.
FWIW, I would never do that to my cat (yes I have one), and yes, it's horrible. It was kind of a funny moment though when he's like "aw, fuck it" and stops jumping until it's over.
